Christ spoke about how we treat people, lest we entertain angels unaware. Sometimes it's the only way to get our attention. Sometimes angels are the best ministers. God has always used angels to minister to man when it suits his divine purpose. The scriptures are replete with examples. I'd expound upon it further, but I'm currently at work. You can also do as James directs, ask God why he uses angels even with the fullness of the gospel being restored. He will answer in His own time and in His own way. But it will be in a way you understand.

​@@countrykids6483please read my comment again. I believe we're on the same page and believe the same things. You also bring up an interesting point. Though, I haven't found an example in the scriptures of Angels bearing the message of the Everlasting Gospel aside from the birth of Christ. Almost all Angelic visitations are marked by protection, comfort, or counsel regarding the life and choices of the individual being ministered to. Angels ministering the Everlasting Gospel to men on earth seems to be marked only in times when it isn't present in the earth. Or, after long periods of Apostasy. IE the birth of Christ, or the visitation to Joseph Smith.

@@Hol0gr4m I apologize if I misinterpreted your comment. The book of Mormon would have far more examples. Specifically Alma the Younger. But we also do not have the complete record of those conversations. Redirecting behavior or protection is sometimes the very shove that some people need to head in the right direction. I've seen Angels do both in my life and the life of others. Sometimes it's gentle, sometimes it's a good swift kick in the rear.

@@countrykids6483 That's very true. I think there may be a difference though with that example. I don't believe the angel did bear the Everlasting Gospel to Alma the Younger. He did give him a "kick in the pants" so to speak, but it wasn't until Alma the Younger remembered the words of His mortal father who spoke of the Everlasting Gospel that he recognized it. It seems that God will always dispense the Gospel through man. Angels seem to only dispense the Everlasting Gospel to man when there is no man left to dispense it.

@@Hol0gr4m yeah, that seems to be how restorations happen. So you have a good point. I just try to keep in mind that we don't have records of everything, nor has everything been revealed. Especially concerning the lost tribes who should and hopefully do have their own records that will someday be revealed. We'll have a much better understanding either after we die, or at the second coming. Whichever comes first

Joseph Smith was a known swindler before he made up the book of mormon. From horse in North America, prehistoric steel, Native American genetic testing, and errant translations of the KJV, mormonsim has been proven false and heretical time and time again. Again, I say, repent and believe the one and only God, Jesus Christ. Burn your cultish texts and follow the Bible.

Jesus said not all who say Lord Lord will enter heaven. You can continue to follow a man who gave false prophecies..killed someone..and someone who went against Christ's teachings on marriage..the list goes on and on..but you can follow Joseph if you want..I say this all in love but you're only fooling yourself if you think you can follow both Joseph and Jesus' teachings. What do you honestly think cult leaders do? You think Joseph is the only cult leader that "loved god, used the bible, and talked about Jesus"?

In fact, there are more scripture passages in the Bible itself that suggest we read both the Bible AND the Book of Mormon than there are to suggest that the Bible is the only book we should follow. See Ezekiel 37:19 and Isaiah 29:4 in connection to Moroni 10:27.

Jesus is the only way, that’s the message of the Book of Mormon.

The gospel revealed to the prophet Joseph Smith aligns perfectly with the Bible. The words of Jesus Christ himself as recorded in the Book of Mormon in 3 Nephi 27 where he defines His gospel. Have you read the Book of Mormon all the way through? The Holy Bible is one example of scripture. It is an account of God's interactions and teachings with the people in and around the Eastern Mediterranean region before, during and after the ministry of Jesus Christ. It is a collection of writings both spiritual and historical written by prophets. In the Holy Bible there are miraculous stories of faith, sacrifice, trial and love. What about the people that lived beyond the geographical setting of the Bible outside the Mediterranean area? What kind of interaction did God have with them? Well, in the Bible from the Book of John, Jesus revealed to his disciples in Jerusalem “And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring and they shall hear my voice and there shall be one fold and one shepherd.” Some of these other sheep to which Jesus refers are the inhabitants of the ancient Americas who lived at that time. The Book of Mormon is a compilation of the sacred writings of many generations of the people that lived there and received instruction and teachings from God. They had prophets who, just like the Bible, recorded spiritual and historical events over thousands of years and, similarly to the Bible, these stories and events were written down, collected and shared from generation to generation. They too were eventually compiled into a book. It is called the Book of Mormon: Another testament of Jesus Christ, and like the Bible, the Book of Mormon is a collection of writings both spiritual and historical written by God's prophets. The crowning event in the Book of Mormon is the account of Jesus Christ ministering to the other sheep as he said he would shortly after his death. Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world!

As we commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ two millennia ago, we offer our testimony of the reality of His matchless life and the infinite virtue of His great atoning sacrifice. None other has had so profound an influence upon all who have lived and will yet live upon the earth. He was the Great Jehovah of the Old Testament, the Messiah of the New. Under the direction of His Father, He was the creator of the earth. “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made” (John 1: 3). Though sinless, He was baptized to fulfill all righteousness. He “went about doing good” (Acts 10: 38), yet was despised for it. His gospel was a message of peace and goodwill. He entreated all to follow His example. He walked the roads of Palestine, healing the sick, causing the blind to see, and raising the dead. He taught the truths of eternity, the reality of our premortal existence, the purpose of our life on earth, and the potential for the sons and daughters of God in the life to come. He instituted the sacrament as a reminder of His great atoning sacrifice. He was arrested and condemned on spurious charges, convicted to satisfy a mob, and sentenced to die on Calvary’s cross. He gave His life to atone for the sins of all mankind. His was a great vicarious gift in behalf of all who would ever live upon the earth. We solemnly testify that His life, which is central to all human history, neither began in Bethlehem nor concluded on Calvary. He was the Firstborn of the Father, the Only Begotten Son in the flesh, the Redeemer of the world. He rose from the grave to “become the firstfruits of them that slept” (1 Corinthians 15: 20). As Risen Lord, He visited among those He had loved in life. He also ministered among His “other sheep” (John 10: 16) in ancient America. In the modern world, He and His Father appeared to the boy Joseph Smith, ushering in the long-promised “dispensation of the fulness of times” (Ephesians 1: 10). Of the Living Christ, the Prophet Joseph wrote: “His eyes were as a flame of fire; the hair of his head was white like the pure snow; his countenance shone above the brightness of the sun; and his voice was as the sound of the rushing of great waters, even the voice of Jehovah, saying: “I am the first and the last; I am he who liveth, I am he who was slain; I am your advocate with the Father” (D&C 110: 3-4). Of Him the Prophet also declared: “And now, after the many testimonies which have been given of him, this is the testimony, last of all, which we give of him: That he lives! “For we saw him, even on the right hand of God; and we heard the voice bearing record that he is the Only Begotten of the Father- “That by him, and through him, and of him, the worlds are and were created, and the inhabitants thereof are begotten sons and daughters unto God” (D&C 76: 22-24). We declare in words of solemnity that His priesthood and His Church have been restored upon the earth-“built upon the foundation of … apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone” (Ephesians 2: 20). We testify that He will someday return to earth. “And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together” (Isaiah 40: 5). He will rule as King of Kings and reign as Lord of Lords, and every knee shall bend and every tongue shall speak in worship before Him. Each of us will stand to be judged of Him according to our works and the desires of our hearts. We bear testimony, as His duly ordained Apostles-that Jesus is the Living Christ, the immortal Son of God. He is the great King Immanuel, who stands today on the right hand of His Father. He is the light, the life, and the hope of the world. His way is the path that leads to happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come.
